To enable the new procedural viewport texture preview navigate to the Binding rollout in the material properties and change the Texture Mode to ‘Bake’ Materials from such projects now open with the ‘Auto’ texture binding mode enabled. This was affecting projects saved with older V-Ray versions. A critical issue causing texture networks connected to the diffuse slot of specific materials to get deleted on scene activation is resolved.Raytraced and Tri-planar textures are not supported This affects most procedural patterns and textures with custom UV placement configuration. Differences between the rendered result and the viewport preview may occur due to the fact that only the texture confined within the 0 to 1 UV square is baked. In this mode complex texture networks are baked to a single image used as a viewport preview. A new ‘Bake’ texture binding mode is implemented.Procedural textures and corrections are disregarded. In this mode, a bitmap texture connected directly or indirectly to the diffuse material slot is used as the primary viewport preview. The behavior of the ‘Auto’ texture binding mode is restored to its V-Ray 6.10.03 state.
